The people of France fight back against Macrons new secutity law

Thousands of French people took to the streets to demonstrate against the new law of "National Security". Despite the state of emergency and the states measures against the pandemic, tens of thousands defied the bans all over France and demonstrated. Police and demonstrators have clashed in Paris despite the tear gasses and the water cannons used.

The brutal beating of Michel Zecler, a black music producer by the Police, that followed him in his studio because he was not wearing a mask, was the tip of the iceberg. Also in association with that, the new law that specifically intends to prohibit people from "disseminating the image of the face or any other element of identification of an officer of the national police or a member of the national gendarmerie, with the exception of his individual identification number, when he is acting in the context of a police operation" and to punish anyone that does not comply to the law with one year of imprisonment or a fine of 45,000 euros.

It is clear that the French state is arming itself against people’s struggles and banning every reaction against it.
