No to the deportation of Dr. Banu Büyükavcı from Germany!

The Nuremberg Department of Foreigners and the German state started the deportation process of Dr. Banu Büyükavcı for "reasons of public interest". Dr. Banu Büyükavcı is known for the long-running political trial in Munich of the Turkish Communists of TKP / ML , known as the "Munich Communist Trial".

She is one of the ten, arrested in the international police operation in five European countries, coordinated and organized by the German state, on April 15, 2015 on charges of being members of the TKP / ML, under Article 129 / b of the German Penal Code. The trial ended on July 28, 2020, and the ten communists were sentenced from 2 years and 9 months to 6 years and 9 months in prison. Banu Büyükavcı was sentenced to 3 years and six months in prison while she was remanded in custody for 32 months, 4 of which in complete isolation and was released on parole on 19 February 2018.

The persecutions of the German state did not stop with the condemnation. The persecutions and the repression continue against the political refugees who were tried, before the reasoned decision of the court was even written, before the appeal for review was examined. Doctor Sinan Aydin, who has lived and worked in Germany since 2012, and Banu Büyükavcı, a psychiatrist who has lived and worked in Germany since 2004, are being deported from Germany.

The arrests, persecutions and repression of Turkish communist political refugees in imperialist Germany are the result of the implementation of the fascist and racist policies of the EU imperialist states. The persecutions of the German state are part of the upgraded barbaric attack of the imperialist states that have often been applied in recent years to the progressive, revolutionary and communist forces.

A Solidarity Initiative was immediately set up for Banu Büyükavcı, with statements of solidarity coming from left-wing collectives, the migrant workers union and women's collectives calling on democratic, progressive and revolutionary forces in Europe and in Germany. to show solidarity.

Speaking at a rally on November 25, International Day Against Womens Violence, Banu Büyükavcı emphasized that she was not being persecuted because she was a woman, but because she was a revolutionary woman, and called on the public to take the initiative.
