Latin American rappers spoke out on social media after Pablo Hasél's arrest and threat to freedom of expression


The imprisonment of rapper  Pablo Hasél has caused international controversy and outrage. Amid the pandemic, Spanish youths have been in the streets for eight days protesting and clashing with police.

Artists from all over the world have been quick to show solidarity with the rapper, who has been imprisoned for glorifying terrorism, insulting the Spanish Crown and state institutions.

Cristian Montero, a political activist, was arrested by the Ecuadorian police, according to a statement by the The Front for the Defense of the Struggles of the People of Ecuador (FLDP). The activist has been accused of rebellion, paralysing public service and terrorism. In fact, he took part in the fight against the large mining companies that drive farmers out of the midlands.

Las noticias que vienen de Bolivia son indiscutibles. Despeués del golpe militar con la inervención estadounidense, la cual derrocó al presidente legítimo Morales, se desarolló una oleada de terror y represión. El resultado hasta ahora es un baño de sangre con un número indeterminado de muertos y heridos. Las víctimas han sido disparadas por los soldados y los policías según los órdenes de los golpistas. Las imágenes de los manifestantes muertos en Cochabamba y de los hospitales en La Paz son escandalosas y enfurecen a toda la gente progresiva y demócratica del mundo. Una vez más, el pueblo boliviano se enfrenta al ejército y a los mecanismos estatales de represión, los cuales estan guiados por los yanquis imperialistas y sirven para proteger los intereses de la oligarquía, las multinacionales americanas y las fuerzas reaccionarias, racistas y de la extrema derecha que persiguen una revancha histórica.

Lοs pueblos de América Latina marchan el camino de la lucha y del levantamiento.

Se enfrentan a la reprecion policial y militar y la política asesina de los sectores reaccionarios, asi como sus patrones, el imperialismo yanqui. En Chile, en Bolivia contra el golpe de la extrema derecha, en Ecuador, unos días antes.

¡Ya cuentan muertos y asesinados, pero ni eso ni el terrorismo modifica su moral y sus anhelos por libertad e independencia!

Las luchas de los pueblos de América Latina tienen enemigos comunes, el fascismo, el imperialismo, la opresión y la explotación por las clases dominantes.

Nuestro pueblo debe ser energicamente solidario con estos pueblos, al tener ante nosotros los asesinos de los EE.UU, la OTAN y de la U.E con sus bases y sus flotas militares.

Greece. Two days of solidarity to the arrested militants and the revolutionary movement of India

On the occasion of the mass arrests of militants, activists and revolutionaries in India, a two-day program was organized, of informing the people about the popular and revolutionary movement in India, as well as denouncing these very arrests in that country.

On Friday the 5^th of October, a panel discussion took place at the books store of  “Outside of the walls” in Athens. There were many participants who were interested in finding out about the truth, in the revolutionary, workers' and popular movement, as well as in the democratic rights movement of India. The interest was apparent since all of the participants stayed until the end of the discussion but also because of the various contributions in the discussion and questions that followed. A contribution was also made by a representative of the Turkish magazine “Partizan”.
